Now Open To All H. Olive Day and Freeman Centennial Educators:
NEEF will be awarding classroom grants supporting projects that help promote innovative teaching and integration of technology. We are now accepting grant proposal applications. Current submissions will be accepted until November 12th, 2009.
Who can apply for Norfolk Elementary Education Foundation Grants?
Any individual (or group) working for the Norfolk Public Schools is encouraged to apply.
What kind of projects can be funded?
Innovative, creative approaches to teaching and learning best fulfill the Foundation’s mission. Applications may include but are not limited to costs of materials, resource people/speakers or equipment. The Norfolk Elementary Education Foundation will not approve personal stipends or building modifications.
Are there dollar limits?
Grants in the amount of $100-$500 will be awarded for individual projects. The amount will be based in part on available funding and the potential impact of the project. The project should not supplant any currently funded program.
What criteria will be used to evaluate the applications?
Norfolk Elementary Education Foundation’s Board of Directors will review applications and make awards based on: creativity/innovation; potential impact; project design; number of students served; research base.
Grant awards will be announced December 2009.
On the online application, respond to the topics listed below (applications may also be submitted via email by MS Word attachment). Please limit your application to two pages. Submit any supporting documentation that may assist our Grant Committee via email to 2009NEEFgrants@NEEFonline.org.
